Lastest message The judge is also the saviour | Steve Morrison | Romans 2:11-16

Paul is specifically addressing Jewish believers who may have exempted themselves from his message as they had “special status” having the Torah. Paul’s argument is that all will be judged; Jew & Gentile, with the law or without the law, all fall under the wrath of God, but God is fair. Paul wants his hearers to know; we all are in the same boat, perishing outside of Christ. He lands this section with a reminder that Christ Jesus is the judge. A judge who shows no partiality (v11) but a judge who is also our saviour. No one could be more pre-disposed to saving sinners. Does your gospel have room for judgement? Do you include yourself in Paul’s message? Paul wants us to hasten to Christ, to check our hearts, to change how we live and to trust in His coming.
