At the start of Acts, Jesus prepares his disciples for his departure from earth and promises them that His Spirit would come in power when he goes out of sight. His disciples watch Jesus physically ascend into heaven, but they go with great joy because Jesus is on the throne, He is their advocate in Heaven and only through Him will they be able to ascend to be with Him forever.Â
