Genesis 12 begins with the words ‘now the Lord said to Abram…’ but who was Abram? Why did God speak to Him? And why did God make such incredible promises to an idolater from Babylon? In the first part of our new series ‘Adventures with Abraham’ we take a look at the problem of sin. The problem facing all mankind. The reason the world is not all as it should be, and we trace the meta-narrative of the very first gospel promise all the way to Jesus Christ. We’ll see how Jesus is a better Adam, how he succeeds where Adam & Eve failed, & how He is the Saviour we’ve all been waiting for. We’ll discover that in order to fully appreciate the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ we must understand what happened in Genesis 3 and then how it all begins to change with Abraham! As we do so we’ll worship & then be propelled into the mission of King’s Church and the purposes of God for our generation!
