One Thing

One Thing is a discipleship year inspired by the prayer of Psalm 27: ‘One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever.’

It’s a year of serving Jesus and His church, growing in being His disciple in all aspects of life. Our vision is to help you grow into all God has called you to be by pursuing Jesus and running after Him.

What does it involve?

You would work as part of the staff team at King’s Church within a specific ministry area, helping to run, plan and develop it. Each ‘One Thing’ participant works alongside a staff mentor who helps develop their unique gifting. The week might involve staff meetings, serving in mid-week ministries and spending time with your mentor.

There will also be teaching time where you’ll grow in your understanding of God.
