Values

To help give you an idea of who we are as a church we’ve outlined our 4 key values below. This certainly isn’t an exhaustive list or a statement of belief but outlines the things that are important to us. The best way of understanding & experiencing King’s is to come along and visit us for yourself.

  1. Scripture - The Bible is God’s Word and it speaks to us today. Everything we believe comes from seeing who God is through scripture, so we use it and we enjoy expositional preaching through books of the Bible in order to know God more, taking care to understand what the Bible says and how it applies to us.
  2. Gospel – Jesus commissioned us to spread the good news of his life, death and resurrection. King’s Church was planted with a vision to see the lost found & prodigals coming home. We are called to be a people who speak out the gospel and send people to the nations.
  3. Holy Spirit - We were made to glorify God, so we prioritise worshipping Him when we meet together, making space for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to build us up. We emphasise God’s freedom being available for all believers in every area of life.
  4. Family – King’s Church is called to be a diverse family made up of young & old, black & white, rich & poor. United in our love for Christ we are called to share our lives, to give to one another generously, to live justly and to build one another up in love. Our mission is to be a disciple-making community, spurring one another on to become more like Jesus.
