Love in action
At King’s church, we aim to show love practically by partnering with local and global charities to “do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow's cause” (Isaiah 1: 17).
We are just beginning our journey, exploring God’s call on King’s Church to bring the good news of Jesus to the disadvantaged, the poor and those who need it most. We currently stand with and are partnering with the following groups. Over time, we aspire to work with many more.
Grace Enterprises – is a network of businesses aiming to provide meaningful employment for those who struggle to find work. Founded in 2017 Radiant Cleaners is their first business which is helping people to find work for the very first time.
Open Doors – an international ministry serving persecuted Christians and churches worldwide.
It’s a joy to also stand alongside two Malawian churches and their social action project ‘Helping Hands’ providing clothing and other essentials to villagers near Blantyre.
Our early attempts are currently overseen by Zoe Smith. Zoe works full time for Open Doors as Head of Advocacy, and often leads us in prayer for persecuted Christians around the world.
Jesus said: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me” (Matthew 25:35-36)
